GENERAL SUMMARY: The Occupational Therapist is responsible to the Occupational Therapist WTL and/or Department Leader. He/she works in a self-directed work team committed to a common purpose and goal. The Occupational Therapist works within the scope of Occupational Therapy. He/she is responsible to practice within their scope of licensure in accordance with approved policies, procedures and protocols. The Occupational Therapist contributes to positive outcomes and meets the cultural expectations of the organization by exhibiting professional behavior. He/she shares responsibility for all aspects of therapy and team functions.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  • Preferred: None
  • Required: Working knowledge of basic computer skills. Demonstration of effective problem solving, decision-making, interpersonal, and team work skills. Use of effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstration of time management and organizational skills. Successful completion of mandatory requirements, including department proficiencies/competencies.

EDUCATION:
  • Preferred: Masters degree from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy
  • Required: Bachelors degree from an accredited program for Occupational Therapy

EXPERIENCE:
  • Preferred: 1 year acute care experience.
  • Required: None

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/ OTHER:
  • Preferred: None
  • Required: Current license as an Occupational Therapist in the state of Florida
