Position requirements: FAMILY PRACTICE CLINIC - NURSE PRACTITIONER (NP)
Full-Time Exempt position, Monday-Friday 9a-5:30p; occasional evening hours and Saturday shifts
Under supervision of the Director of the Family Practice Clinic and Family Medicine Residency Program, the Nurse Practitioner provides Acute Health Care in the Family Practice Clinic and performs patient education services.
Responsibilities include performing primary care for acute medical problems in the Family Practice Center, providing patient education in chronic disease management in group or individual situations, collecting data and doing chart reviews, participating in office-based clinical projects and quality measures in assisting the Nursing Manager in triage and acute care. The NP will function collaboratively and exercise independent judgement to provide high quality of care as determined by supervising faculty and patient satisfaction in office work flow.
Requirements: Min 1 year current experience working as a Nurse Practitioner in a clinic environment. Master's degree, Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner School/Program. Demonstrated experience working in a clinic setting in acute health care. Current CA Registered Nurse license with Nurse Practitioner Certification and Furnishing license. AHA BCLS Certification. Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
