Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Provides Behavior Specialist responsibilities in addition to coordination, technical competency and training of all C3 Behavior Specialists.
Under general supervision provides screening, assessment, and/or treatment support for children zero through middle school age and their families. Serves as a liaison with community referral sources including physicians' offices and/or other treatment professionals to facilitate clinical and treatment options. Provides educational information to patients, parents and families, and community agencies regarding treatment modalities. Responds differentially to children based upon the child's age, understanding of the child's developmental level/abilities/disabilities, and cultural considerations. Provides marketing and administrative support to program by producing flyers, handouts and training materials and entering case related documentation into computer. Maintains case files per the hospital standards. Ability to bill private insurances for treatment services provided, when applicable.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Those required by the core C3 staff – knowledge of child development and behavior management strategies
Prior experience which demonstrates the ability to plan, organize, lead others and train team members
Master's degree in related discipline
4 years experience in field related to area of specialty
Demonstrated competency in varied treatment modalities for children with special needs
Computer skills sufficient to perform data entry, production of educational materials and word processing
License or certification that would allow for insurance billing
For non-grant funded programs, BCBA, MFT, LCSW, or other license/certification that would allow for insurance billing
For grant funded programs, experience in or training in evidenced based parent training such as Redirecting Children's Behavior (RCB) or Incredible Years (IY)
